Fairbanks Advisory Committee

The Fairbanks Advisory Committee represents Fairbanks and surrounding communities, and is comprised of 15 undesignated seats. These communities are all located in Game Management Unit (GMU) 20B. The areas of jurisdiction identified in 5 AAC 97.005 are GMUs 12, 20, 21, 24, 25, and 26. The area of jurisdiction for finfish is Tanana River. The Fairbanks Advisory Committee is an active committee holding monthly meetings during the winter and spring, and utilizing three subcommittees to address fishing, hunting, and trapping issues. Meetings focus on a variety of local and statewide issues on game, habitat, and fishing issues on both the state and federal level.
