Commissioner's Office
Magy Elliott
Legislative Liaison
Magy Elliott brings a lifelong connection to Southeast Alaska and strong legislative expertise to her role at the Department of Fish and Game. Having spent her life between Gustavus and Juneau, she understands both the people of the region and the public processes that shape state decision making.
Before joining ADF&G in March 2026, Magy built her career in the Alaska Legislature. Her experience working in a variety of roles - including several sessions as a documents clerk gave her a solid foundation in state government, policy development, and the importance of clear, accurate communication. This firsthand perspective makes her a reliable and approachable point of contact for navigating legislative needs.
Magy's professional work is matched by a deep personal connection to Alaska's outdoors. She spends her free time fishing local waters, camping with friends and family, and chasing new mountain summits. These experiences have instilled a durable respect for Alaska's natural resources and the communities that depend on them.
When she isn't exploring the next trail or helping Alaskans navigate public processes, Magy is busy raising her two boys, Milo, and Steller who keep her grounded, motivated, and constantly on the move.
